When I heard of Peter Cullen's passing, it stirred up a lot of emotions and memories. Like many of you, Optimus Prime wasn't just a cartoon character—he was part of my childhood.
Some of my earliest memories are of my parents working a swap meet in the parking lot of a local high school, selling toys to help make ends meet. As a toddler, I always got first pick whenever a new shipment of Transformers came in, and every time I reached for Optimus Prime.
That memory has stayed with me all these years.
This patch is my way of honoring those humble beginnings, the values Optimus represented, and the memories that shaped me. I'm sure many of you have your own story with Optimus Prime—this one is mine.— H
